So this weekend I didn't do anything exciting. I worked 12 hour shifts on Friday and Saturday...Yay for extra $$$, boo for annoying co-workers. You may or may not have seen on IG that I got peed on by 7 am. It happened the next day too. I should probably stop wearing mesh shoes..or learn to dodge faster but the plastic ones just aren't as comfy.
This last week, we finally had sweet corn. I have been waiting months to eat this. Yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!! My grandparent's came to visit and brought 3 dozen...so now
I am sick of it. Doesn't it look delicious? Roll it in butter with a little salt.......mmmmm.
Yummy in ma tummy.
I have been apartment hunting lately and it sucks..Trying to find an apartment 1,600 miles away is HARD. That challenge will be told later.
I dyed my hair this last week. I went from "mousy brown" to darker brown. It looks a lot different but I am really starting to like it!!!
The after picture doesn't really do a good job showing it due to the awful lighting in my room. I will always love my before hair....I may have to go back next time. I'm such an indecisive person.
Before
After
I promise I will get my post up about my ADORABLE nephew soon. I miss the little guy so much!
I received my first Julep box today!! I took the style quiz and was "Classic with a Twist." I chose the "It Girl" category because I liked the choices better. I like that there is an option where you can see all the boxes and choose which one you like best.
My colors were purple, a silvery-white, and silver glitter. I tried them out right away and really like them!!! I applied the purple and it smelled like candy! Yum haha I also got a sample of hand scrub that I have yet to try.
Right now they are having a special where you get your first box free!! Just use the code "FREEBOX" when checking out. You only have to pay $3.99 for shipping. Score! I am not sure if I will purchase this again. The nail polishes were good but $20 for 3 small nail polishes, is a little expensive for me.
I don't know about you guys but having my nails painted makes me feel so much more girly!! :)
If you are looking for a new box or nail polishes to try, you should totally check this special out!!
My sister finally had her baby! A baby boy! Robert Dean Orvis III. 8 lbs 2 oz. 20 inches long. He was born on July 23rd at 5:25.
I am so in love with the little guy already and I have only seen a few pictures! I now understand why everyone photo bombs pictures of their nieces and nephews.
I was pretty bummed at first when I didn't think I would be able to see him for a few months but it worked out and I am going this week! I will be flying out on Monday and driving back with my parents, who are already there.
My sister does not have air conditioning so that will be interesting! :/ orrrr....cell service. Ahhhhh, whatever shall I do without my Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Bloglovin'....yada yada yada haha Actually I think it will be nice to unplug and play with that precious little guy :P
Oh hey, yeah I'm just getting around to posting some of my June favs.
1. BB Cream by Covergirl. This is the first BB cream that I have tried but I LOVE it. So great for summer! It's light but still covers like foundation. Goes on smooth and doesn't have a yucky smell like other creams.
2. Avon Totally Kissable lipsticks. They have a pretty good selection and the lipstick stays on for a few hours longer than other lipsticks I have worn. The smell isn't the best but the color quality is good. I'm into the light pinks and corals this summer.
3. E.L.F. Eyelid Primer. For only $1 at Target, it works well! I have noticed my eyeshadow stays on a lot longer and doesn't gather at the creases like without the primer.
4. Kenra 25 Hairspray. Smells great! Great for teasing and lasts a long time.
1. Sally Hansen Salon effects nail strips. There are so many fun prints in these. They stick on really good...so good I had to file them off ha. There are a little pricey but they are on sale often!
2. EOS lip balm. This makes my lips so soft! I have left it in my car a few times and it hasn't melted ..score! There are many different flavors and they all smell great. They don't taste gross either. Only $3 and I have been using mine everyday!
3. Suave Dry Shampoo. Love love love! Smells great and works well too! It's also only around $3 so double score!
I am a little skeptical about trying new beauty products at times but sometimes it pays off!!
Linking up with Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social.
This week is all about music. It's fun to think about the memories that go along with certain songs.
1. What is your all-time favorite song? Don't Stop Believin' by Journey
I'm just a small town girl after all.
2. Who is your favorite singer/band? Oh gosh, I don't know... B Spears? ha kidding!.... I like a lot of people. Bad answer :)
3. What song reminds you of your childhood? Ride a Horse, Save a Cowboy. My friends and I made a video to this in 5th grade. We all wore white beaters and jeans and then proceeded to dance around on chairs like crazed videos. I hope the video was burned hahah
I also used to love N'Sync too.
4. What songs put you in a good mood? Anything with a good beat and that I can dance and sing too.
5. What is your music to rock out to in your car? Unfortunately, I just downgraded from XM Radio to plain old radio so whatever kinda hip hop or pop they are playing. I think it's hilarious when people look at you like you are a crazy because you are singing and dancing in your car!
6. What is the most embarrassing album or song you own? I'm totally rocking some Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven in my iTunes lib and I have a High School Musical CD. I haven't listened to either for a long time though, in my defense. :)
As I sit here and eat my dip cone, let me tell ya a little somethin somethin...
Many of my Facebook friends have been complaining lately about how they are "fat" and how they wish they were skinny and blah blah blah. Everyone always says I don't know anything because I don't need to work out but I know that sitting on your ass will not make you lose weight!!!!
All that time you are wasting posting a facebook status about it and complaining, is time you can be moving your gluteus maximus!!
I choose to work out because I enjoy it...most of the time.
I am sick of those people. Get outta here with that crap......and read below.
I went to DQ tonight and there were 6 cars in the drive-thru. I was in and out by the time any of the cars moved. People are so lazy they couldn't walk the 5 seconds inside but could wait 30 min in line! This is nuts to me. I know I have never been overweight and yada yada that everyone always says but do people really expect results when they don't do shit?
The point of this post is...get off your ass and work out or shut the frack up!
K thanks...rant over. Happy Thursday bishes!!
P.S....I'm on day 11 of the squat challenge and hot damn! They are kicking my booty but let's hope it looks mighty fine pretty soon! ;P
P.S.S. If you are one of these complainers and I didn't totally offend you, check out my pinterest board for some workout ideas. Bada bing.
