Julyyyyy..say what?!

It's July 1st....how crazy is that?! Summer is going by way too fast!

I'm heading to vacation for the next few days. Do you guys have any exciting 4th of July plans? I have always loved watching the fireworks and this year I can legally do it with a drank in ma hand ;)

 

I bought a new swim cover up and hat just for this trip. It's not a trip to the beach but hey, I'll take what I can get!

Ignore the ugly ass bedspread....

I wasn't sure about the hat at first...I'm still not sure I can pull if off but I'm surprisingly loving it anyways!!!

Peanut Butter.....and Jelly.

I am so that  kid adult that starts singing the peanut butter and jelly song anytime I think about peanut butter. I'm going to be a child in an adults body forever...wait, who am I kidding? I still look like a child. Okay anywhoooooo back to the real point of this post.

I discovered this recipe for No Bake Peanut Butter Cookies. Seemed easy enough.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 1/3 cups peanut butter
• 1 cup white corn syrup
• 4 cups crispy rice cereal
• 1 tsp. vanilla extra
• 1 pinch salt

 

Directions:

 

Blend the syrup, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a microwave bowl. Cook on high for 4 minutes, or until sugar is boiled.

Stir in the peanut butter and then add the cereal. Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper and let cool.

 

 

 

These were very easy to make. They tasted very similar to scotcharoo's without the chocolate. This recipe is delicious and unhealthy :P Not too mention super easy, took about 10 minutes. My dad even told me they tasted great and he rarely praises my cooking/baking haha but then again it's rare when I make anything fancy. When I do, they always think I want something or I did something bad....hehe

 

 I'm sure this wasn't as complicated or as yummy like all of you fabulous ladies will be but hey, what can ya do :)

Shopping Hiatus = Over

So I finally broke my non-shopping record. I had cut myself off from shopping...I know I am crazy!! I have been trying to get ready for my move and I know it will cost me a fortune so the fact that I made it 49 days is impressive if you ask me!!! ;)

I went with a friend and her daughter this past weekend so she could shop and I found this adorable purse at Gordman's! Since I am picky about my purses, I couldn't say no ;)

Mint and ombre...two things I'm loving this summer.

 A little photo dumping in between.. Someone please tell me an easy way to organize your photos or put them next to each other and yada yada...Blogger doesn't seem to like me when it comes to that haha

Thursday night, we had a big storm. The news is calling it "microburst wind clouds" or something, whatever those are haha but some people are swearing it's a tornado. It knocked down trees and I was right in the middle of it!! So I ran back into the movies and it was a mess.

Took all the letters off of the billboard hahah

The picture above cracks me up but I didn't enjoy running around in the pouring rain to find the letters! ha

This sign is across the street. The wind pushed it right over.  

The winds only lasted about 20 seconds but did some major damage in the meantime. I posted this status later that night....
I wasn't trying to start any drama or make people things I don't care, just to remind people that things could always be worse. A few broken windows and a turned over camper is a lot better than the alternative. I am still praying for those who were affected by the first and second tornadoes.

Okay back to the topic, thank you for that Blogger.

We stopped at Plato's Closet. It is a second-hand type store except it is only brand names. I am not ashamed to say I shop there considering you can get amazing deals like $35 for Big Star jeans!! I went there today and I only found a few shirts but I still got a major steal on them!

I really liked this nautical type dress but wish they had a bigger size.

I also went shopping at American Eagle, Payless, VS, Buckle, and Vanity. No worries....they were all sales and I finally used my gift cards from Christmas. Can you believe I have had them for 6 months and haven't used them? Me either!

I felt like a celeb on the movies carrying bags and bags. (There is only one thing in most of the bags :P)

I am still really digging G-Stage and I have stopped myself from buying something everyday! haha

More random photo ^. If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen a few of these pictures but I found this fake rock chip thingy and I had to put it on my brother's new car. If only it looked real..it was still funny though! :D :P I am not sure if he saw it or not. hehehe

My Sister's Graduation 2013

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

It would have been my sister's high school graduation yesterday. While she wasn't there physically, I'm sure she was there in spirit.

There was 48 students graduating and about half of them would have known my sister. They wore Hello Kitty pins on their gowns in remembrance of her. They also included her name at the end of the picture slide show.

They always gave flowers to the moms' towards the end of the ceremony and one of my sister's best friends gave my mom a flower and this picture below.

 

My sister's very best friend, Alayna also gave a rose and decorated her cap saying, "We made it, Naomi." She was the best kind of friend a person wants in life. She was there by my sister's side even when she was sick. To this day, she still remembers my sister's birthday and death date. 

 

I didn't cry at my own gradation but I couldn't help but shed a few tears when they gave these to my mom. It was a bittersweet moment.

 

I went to a graduation party later that afternoon and it was nice to get out and socialize ;) It was a son of my very good friend's party but that meant all of my ex's family was there. This girl sucked it up and went anyways. He is a great kid and knowing he is graduating makes me feel old! HA but I really can't believe I have been out of high school for 3 years already!

 

At least, I got to wear my new wedges from Target. Score!

They are Mossimo Co. and so comfy!! Normally my feet are dying after wearing heels for 15 min but I lasted about an hour before my feet started to ache. Double score! I may even go buy the pair in brown...too much?? haha

 

I also rearranged my room yesterday, I have way toooo much stuff!! I am learning to downsize and am working on getting rid of the little things. It's a work on progress. Proof: I found 35 Cosmo magazines hiding in my closet! Yikes-a-roni! haha

From First to Last [Link Up]

Happy Tuesday everyone! Nothing exciting went on this weekend or the last two days..boooring. I am linking up with one of my fav bloggers, Hallie and her friend, Halie! I love a fun link up..they give me something to write about!

1. First Store You Head To In The Mall?
     I usually go to Victoria's Secret first. I always head to the same section which has American Eagle, Buckle, Bohme, Vanity, and Victoria's Secret. Those are about the only stores I hit up, it's a pretty small mall.

2. First Aisle You Hit In The Grocery Store
    I rarely go grocery shopping in town except for milk so when I do, I go straight back to the milk and leave. I refuse to be tricked into buying something else like they want you too! haha ;) Otherwise, when I go to Walmart I start in the clear back and make my way to the front.
