Last Night, I Had a Date..

....with myself.

Last night, I decided I was going to walk around Main Street and eat out. I have been doing well about only eating out on the weekends.

I choose In-N-Out...delicious! Everyone who doesn't have one near you should be very sad, it is so good.

I walked around Main Street and found some cute little shops to look in. I have become a pro at window shopping but I found so many cute things I could wear!

I walked out on the Pier (which was so chilly) to this little restaurant called Ruby's and got a chocolate milkshake. We are talking 620 calories of yum.

It was starting to get dark so I quickly walked my little booty back to the creepy parking garage and back to the safety of my car. :P I was the only one walking alone besides this old grandpa, BUT I don't care.

It was fun and I imagine it will be even more fun if I ever go with a friend. :)

The sunset is always beautiful at the beach! Happy Saturday :)

Oh HEY.

Hey blog, long time no talk.

It is getting so nice outside so my desire to blog or read blogs goes from about 20% to 5% because I would rather be outside and I suck at blogging anyways :)
This is proof that I actually do blog, I just never post them. Most of them are 3/4 finished, I should finish them..... ;)

{ONE} My friend's wedding was two weekends ago, I'm sad I missed it but I'm SO happy for her. She looked beautiful.
My wedding date was last weekend and I didn't even feel the urge to get totally wasted, I'd say that's an improvement...and a relief that I'm still single :P

{TWO} My mom is coming to visit in 2 weeks. I'm excited and making a long list of things for us to do!

{THREE} 
I still don't have a full time job but I have had quite a few interviews so I'm hoping that things are starting to look up!

{FOUR} Isn't this picture the cutest?! I miss the residents at my old nursing home! Let's be honest, old people can be such cuties :)

I'm sad that watermelon Oreo's are already gone. They were SO GOOD.

I Look Like a Tomato

Now that I live in California, it's expected that I am tan. So I laid out at the beach for 2 hours on Saturday and got a nice sunburn! 

I was trying to ease into a tan but nope, red red red. It was only the back of my legs so I went out yesterday and got my front a little red too. At least, I match now :) 

The lighting stinks but it was as bad as it looks. There is a definite line. :O 
It was in the 90's this past week and it was HOT. I think it's going to be a sweaty summer without air conditioning! Hence the undies picture... #sorrynotsorry Now you can see that I don't have a booty :P 

This didn't end up happening because I don't have friends who actually want to play beer pong with me. They are weird and use the term get "turned up," which is the word for get drunk in case you were clueless like me. The boys didn't like that I bought these blue balls. Guess it's a sensitive topic. :) 

I have been going to church and it's the perfect place to wear pretty dresses. The one I wore this week was a little ugly but I wore it anyways :)

Five on Friday

I love holidays in Southern California because it's like half the city disappears and my traffic time was cut in half this morning!

{ONE} I just did my laundry for the first time in a month and the dishes because they were overflowing the sink. It was embarrassing and I would be a horrible housewife.

{TWO} I am in eye candy heaven. 5 hotties just moved into my apartment complex. They all just showed up in one week and I am not complaining!

{THREE} It's Easter weekend and I have to work both days....womp womp. I have been wanting to start going back to church and this would be a perfect time to start!

{FOUR} I treated myself to Starbucks and a muffin this morning..yum!

{FIVE} I got my hair done this morning too which was the first time in 3 months!! I'm so excited! Thank you tax gods and goodbye dead ends.

I also stood at the DMV for a few hours but got my license on the first try!! I feel so official now ;) 

My sister and her little fam bam are on their way to Hawaii and I'm jealous!!

My First Earthquake

I finally experienced my first earthquake! I have been wanting to experience one since I moved here.

On Friday night, I was sitting around watching Netflix when everything started shaking. I thought it was the chubby kid who runs past my apartment and causes everything to shake but this was different. I realized it was an earthquake and half my brain was screaming "Yay, earthquake!!" and the other half "OMG, an earthquake?!"

I missed the first earthquake but the news said to get under the table when one hits. I don't have anything on the walls so I figured it would be safe and instead, I was running around my apartment to all the windows like a crazy person.

A guy was walking his dog and he was looking around with his arms out like he thought he was going to fall over. I really got a kick out of his face but I'm sure my face would have been hilarious too.

It kinda felt like you are in the middle of an ocean and your boat is rocking back and forth. Except everything around you is shaking and falling over.



The earthquake was a 5.3 magnitude! They said there was 100 aftershocks after it but I only felt one. I may or may not have had a dream that the walls came tumbling down and the earth swallowed me up so I guess my self conscious was a little scared.

Well, now I will know what to expect when the next earthquake comes. Next time, maybe I will get under the table just to be safe. :P

I'm not Getting Down On Friday

Everyone is so excited it's Friday but I have to work this weekend so I'm not excited nor will I be doing anything exciting this weekend. 

1. I'm hoping the weather gets nice in the afternoon this weekend because I need a tan! 

2. I'm still eating pretty healthy so therefore, I am craving all things junk. It was so hard for me not to grab one of everything when I got my car serviced earlier this week.

3. I am addicted to Spotify. Why has no one mentioned this to me before? 

4. One of the trainers asked me out at my gym. This was the same guy who tried telling me I was fat so I gladly turned him down. He sure knows how to impress the ladies, right ;) #facepalm

5. I get too involved in t.v. shows. I watched Chicago Fire all last weekend and loved it. I wanted to marry Taylor Kinney but then I found out he is dating Lady Gaga - ick and he is 32. 10 years is too many for me ;)
